One of my pet peeves has been lack of volume, power and input controls on the remote of my streaming device. Some other people (depending on setup) might miss the channel up/down and possibly entrance to the smart TV features. To fix this Slideclick has come out with the Slideclick Universal Remote with programmable keys to allow buyers to program the buttons that they miss having the most. These remotes by Slideclick are available in a “Starter Kit”, like whats shown above (Remote and slider to go on streaming device remote) or you can buy “Adapter Clips” Little adapters if you use multiple streaming devices or want sliders on multiple device remotes.
An example, I have both a Roku and an Amazon Streaming Stick. So maybe I would want to buy the Starter Kit for the Roku device and the “Adapter Clips” for the Amazon Stick. This would allow me to have the Slideclick Universal Remote programmed to my tv and I could attach it to the Amazon or Roku remote depending on which streaming device I am using. Slideclick has different adapters available for Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple Generation 2 and 3 silver, (4 is in development and due out in May), Google Nexus, 2013 Roku 2, 2013 Roku 3, 2014 Roku Stick, 2015 Roku 2, 2015 Roku 3, 2015 Roku 4, 2015 Roku Stick and 2016 Roku Stick. Slideclick Univeral Remotes program to a TV that using IR technology. Granted other Universal remotes allow you to perform similar functions, other universal remotes don’t slide onto a remote that has voice command capabilities. The Slideclick website also has a rating system so hopefully you will get feedback (and the Slideclick Company) in an attempt to give you some feedback.
